We met online about nine years ago in Los Angeles. Like any normal person, there was a need to know if the other was real. So, we scheduled a FaceTime call that went on for hours. We decided we needed to meet face to face, so we went for coffee the very next night. We met up and spent hours talking till closing time.

That still wasn’t enough. Robby made dinner reservations at a wonderful restaurant for the ‘official’ first date and after dinner, we drove around till we found a park and we sat and talked for hours. We couldn’t get enough of each other from the start. Even though I had to go back across the country to NYC to finish my last year of school at the end of the summer, it didn’t deter him. We knew that we were each other’s person. We were each other’s home. From the very beginning till now, the saying ‘I don’t want to go home without you’ has been a part of us. While the first year apart was not ideal, once we got through that, we knew we could get through anything. I moved back across the country once the year was up, so we could officially start our life together.

Since then, we have had an amazing life with our two fur babies. We knew we were it for each other, we were incredibly happy, so we knew there was no rush to get to the next stage of our relationship. We got engaged in August, 2024 after Robby and my parents kept the secret for over six months. Now that we’re ready to take the next step, we cannot wait to celebrate with everyone we love.
